Today I'm giving my readers a break from politics, and returning to my "World's most beautiful music" series. (Which I'm sure is a relief for many of you.)
This morning I feature the 3rd movement of Alexander Borodin's String Quartet No. 2 in F major. This tender, delicate, melodic movement has always been a favorite of mine and ranks among the most popular pieces in the chamber music repertoire. Listen and you'll hear why.
