Calling it a "random act of culture", 650 members of the Philadelphia Opera Chorus in "flash mob" fashion suddenly broke out into the "Hallelujah Chorus" on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in a crowded Macy's department store in downtown Philly. Just look at the people's faces!
LOL! No, I hadn't seen that one. Couldn't stand to finish watching it due to the fact that the singers were about a quarter flat on the third in those harmonies. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.

The Europeans put us to shame in just about everything, don't they? ;)
Yes, I've seen this. Actually posted it on this blog right after it hit YouTube a couple of years ago. I love it.
I see. So I guess you're already familiar with Israel throwing their hat in.

On the soundtrack? Well, if you're faulting their pitch, that would imply that there's actually a falsetto chorus that could sound good. Not to me.
To be fair, I guess it's in keeping with the songwriter's South Parkish comedic style. But I hear you.
