An old friend just sent me this picture. Not only was I that young, (about 13 or 14), I was a, (gasp!), GIRL SCOUT! (Guess which one is me.)

Wow! Look at all the badges! They look like military awards! It reminds me of pictures of me and my fellow marching band and symphonic band members, with all our solo and ensemble medals, and band festival medals.
Yep! That would be me. :)
Yeah, that was all of the "First Class" Cadettes. At that time it was the highest award in Girl Scouting--equal to an Eagle Boy Scout. We all had badges going up our backs. And the tall redhead in the very back had to wear TWO shashes!
Yep, Brenda, you're in there, too! LOL! That's how I met you. Remember? We met at Girl Scout camp the summer before 7th grade and became really good friends that summer.
You're just so damned cute!
