Showdown: Barcarolle from "Tales of Hoffmann" by Offenbach

It's one of the most memorable and loved of all operatic duets presented in concert by three different pairs of divas. You choose your favorite pair and tell us why you chose them. Enjoy!

Marilyn Horne & Joan Sutherland

Felicity Lott & Ann Murray

Anna Netrebko & Elīna Garanča

Hello Lynette,

I think I might plump for Lott and Murray. They seemed to sing it in an understated way. They always partner well as, of course, did Sutherland and Horne. I must say I did enjoy the richness of Garanca's voice!

I have to go with Anna Netrebko & Elīna Garanča on this one. The blending of the two voices is phenomenal! It simply gives me goosebumps.
